Christmas recap

We traveled to Utah county the weekend before Christmas this year to spend it with Austins family. It snowed the Christmas Eve and gave us a beautiful white Christmas! Our kids played in the snow, built a snow man, we took a trailer ride that my inlaws decorated with lights around the neighborhood while drinking homemade hot chocolate and singing Christmas carols. It was a highlight and really fun to spread the spirit of the season. Christmas Eve my girls had the polar express book read to them by my mother law, and to make it more magical she snuck a train ticket under their pillows, then woke them and had them give her their ticket to hole punch, then had hot chocolate downstairs, what a great grandma, I know!

Christmas day was so wonderful. We woke up, got ready & went to sacrament at our church. When we got back to the house it was exciting to have all the presents there waiting to unwrap. Our girls had the best time opening their gifts, it was so fun to watch the joy on their faces. And like they say, the best mess ever is the mess you make on Christmas morning. Its true! We spent the rest of the day playing with new toys, eating a yummy dinner, relaxing on the couch enjoying the day. Monday we went to the show and saw a movie with the kids, enjoyed left over dinner for lunch which is so good, played in the snow, visited grandpa heaps, we had a really good week!

Lily contracted RSV over the season, which was horrible. When we got home a few days after I took her to the Doctor where she did a few breathing treatments, when she wasnt getting better I opted to give her the steroid. After just a couple days she was back to her sweet, happy, healthy self. Thank goodness for modern medicine,

At home, the plowers made a huge snow hill next to our home. All the neighborhood kids including ours spent many days playing on that snow hill, sledding down it, having fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!
